What Does pphelper Mean? And What Does It Do?

pphelper = price protect helper.
pphelper watches prices so you don't have to. Want the lowest price? Wait for the price to drop -- we'll send you an email.

If you buy from any of our supported retailers, you could also be eligible for a refund. All you need to do is enter the URL for the item you purchased, and we'll take care of the rest. If we see the price drop within the item's price protection period, we'll send you an email with detailed information on how to get your money back!

Save time and money. Use pphelper!

Does pphelper Work For In-Store Purchases?

pphelper will work as long as the item you bought in the store has a corresponding web page. See each store's price protection policy to find out if rebates apply.

You can find a full list of retailers and price protection policies on out retailers page.

Does pphelper Price Match Against Other Retailers?

Currently, pphelper's "Protection" service only tracks items at the retailer of your choosing, with no comparison or matching taking place.

For Price Protection, How Do I Get My Money Back?

The process varies by retailer. For in-store purchases, you usually need to go back to the store with your receipt. For online-purchases, you can often do it with an online form or a phone call to a customer service representative.

Every time we notify you of a price drop, we include specific instructions on how to request a refund for that retailer. You can also review this information on our retailers page.

Why Haven't I Received Any Emails?

The first thing to do is check your bulk mail or spam folder. Every once in a while one of our emails might end up there, so if you see pphelper mail in your bulk mail folder, it's important to edit your spam settings to allow mail from alerts@pphelper.com.

Why Doesn't My URL Work?

First, find the product page for the item you purchased. (The product page is the one where you can add the product to your shopping cart.)

Say, for example, you just got a Roomba from Circuit City. If you bought the Roomba at your local retail store, you need to go to Circuit City's website and find the product information page for the Roomba. If you bought it online, you just need to go back in your browser and find the page again. Don't worry if it's on sale and you need to add it to your shopping cart to see the price... pphelper can handle it.

What won't work? Just typing 'Roomba', trying to protect search results, entering a link to your shopping cart, or entering a link for your order summary.

What do I do if I bought something in the store and can't find it online?

Unfortunately, if you can't find your item online, we have no way of checking its price. You'll have to do it the old fashioned way!

What are the different items on the deals page?

We currently have two different types of deals on the deals page; special offers and price drops.

The green figures represents a price drop while the red ones represents a price raise. After the price change information, we tell you how long ago we saw the price drop. You don't need to do anything special to get these offers, just click through to see the item.

I clicked on a price drop link and the price is different at the store website?

Prices change all the time. Every email alert we send and price drop we post on the deals page is an actual price drop we've recorded for a pphelper user. If the item isn't on sale when you click through, it means that the retailer might have lowered the regular price, or it could have just been a short-lived price change.

Do You Sell My Information To Anyone?

No, we have a strict privacy policy against it.

How Do I Get My Favorite Retailer Added?

We're always happy to expand our list of supported retailers. If you have a favorite retailer that we don't support, tell us via this page and we'd be happy to add them! (The more requests we get for a particular retailer, the more likely we are to add them.)
